Community Achievement Award Finalist

We were proud to be a finalist for the 2024 Regional Development Victoria Business Achievement Award at the presentation of the Victorian Community Achievement Awards in Melbourne.

Congratulations to AirAgri on taking out the top honour – it was a privilege to share the stage with you.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers! You are the heartbeat of FoodShare. To our staff and Board, thank you for your dedication to our vision that no-one in our community goes hungry.

Over the past year, FoodShare has worked hard to enhance our operations, community engagement, and sustainability initiatives. With rising cost-of-living pressures, more people are turning to FoodShare for support, and we’re proud to make a difference.
• By rescuing and distributing surplus food to local agencies and schools, we’re not only helping families in need but also making a positive impact on the environment.
• Through our social supermarket, we’re empowering people through access to nutritious, culturally appropriate food.
• Our new programs – the TAFE community garden, jam making and food preservation initiatives alongside enhanced food rescue are building local resilience.

Our thanks to Community Achievement Awards Australia for highlighting the ongoing issue of food insecurity in Victoria and recognising the important work of FoodShare.
