Border Easter Egg Hunt

Established in 2018, the Border Easter Egg Hunt is a cherished community event. Founded by a dedicated local volunteer group. Since its inception the event has contributed over $75,000 back into the community, supporting various local charities.

In 2024, Albury Wodonga FoodShare took ownership of the event after the original organising committee disbanded.

Since then we have welcomed over 1,500 children and their families to our event and raised over $36,000 for FoodShare’s Community Programs.

2026 Event

The Border Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday 28 March at the Albury Botanic Gardens. This family-friendly event promises a fun-filled day with plenty of activities for children and fantastic entertainment for all to enjoy.

This community event packed with free activities and great entertainment for families looking for some fun in the lead up to Easter.

The Easter bunny will be making special appearances throughout the morning and there will be a BBQ to keep everyone fuelled for the fun.

Kids need a ticket to join the Easter Egg Hunt and getting it online will double your chances in the major prize draw! To make sure everyone gets a fair chance, the hunt for chocolate eggs will be run in age groups from youngest to oldest.

Children are also encouraged to make their own festive hat at home and bring it along to join the parade. This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to show off their creativity and the most eggstraordinary creations will win big! Make sure you grab a ticket to take part in the parade.

This event proudly raises money for Albury Wodonga FoodShare to provide food for families in our community experiencing hardship.
