Border Easter Egg Hunt
Established in 2018, the Border Easter Egg Hunt is a cherished community event. Founded by a dedicated local volunteer group. Since its inception the event has contributed over $75,000 back into the community, supporting various local charities.
In 2024, Albury Wodonga FoodShare took ownership of the event after the original organising committee disbanded.
In just three years, the Border Easter Egg Hunt has welcomed more than 2,000 children and raised over $69,000 for our Community Programs.
2026 Event
The Border Easter Egg Hunt was held on Saturday 28 March more than 700 children and their families gathered at the Albury Botanic Gardens for the record-breaking Border Easter Egg Hunt, enjoying a vibrant morning of games, entertainment and community spirit.
With colourful decorations, live music, children’s activities and an exciting Easter hat parade, the event created a festive atmosphere as thousands of eggs were collected by eager participants. The day was made possible by the support of local organisations, volunteers and sponsors, who helped deliver a memorable experience for all.
The event raised over $33,000 which will support people experiencing food insecurity. FoodShare would like to thank everyone involved, we look forward to continuing the tradition next year, providing an accessible and joyful event for families across the region.
