Tax time is nearly here!

Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare is a local registered not-for-profit organisation that works to address food insecurity in the Albury Wodonga region.

A donation, no matter how big or small will help many people in our region who are going hungry unnecessarily to have access to nutritious food. Every dollar you donate can distribute around $7 worth of food to our community.

Consider helping out a fantastic local community group and make a real difference to people in need in our community by making a donation via the following link https://foodshare.org.au/how-you-can-help/donate-funds
This week Albury Wodonga Regional FoodShare will be celebrating National Volunteer Week and the wonderful work our nearly 200 volunteers do for the Albury Wodonga community. The theme for National Volunteer Week in 2023 is "The Change Makers". More information can be found at Volunteering Australia

Foodshare’s volunteers make change every day by helping us to address food insecurity in our region and providing nutritious food for those in need.

This week on our social media pages, we will share some of our volunteer’s stories and highlight the important work they do. We hope you enjoy reading their stories on both Facebook and Instagram.

RACV Donation

Our Community Pantry welcomed a new addition to the team - a new Chiller Fridge!

Our existing Chiller Fridge sadly passed away earlier this year. This meant a lot of extra work for our volunteers in packing and unpacking our fresh produce each day and trying to keep it fresh while on display with frozen ice bricks.
In hearing our plight, RACV arranged for us to obtain a new one!

"...RACV is really proud to work with a great an organisation that is making a difference in the community..." says Regional Sales Manager, Donna Moroz.

We are so grateful for organisations like RACV who don't hesitate to help us in our time of need. Thanks RACV
With the increase in people using our FoodShare Shop, we needed additional freezer space to ensure we have enough frozen product on hand.

Another amazing local organisation, Rotary Club of Albury NSW came to our aid providing us a grant to purchase an additional freezer.

Peter and Charlene from Rotary Club of Albury NSW popped in this morning to visit Sue and Nicole at our FoodShare Shop at 81 Wigg Street, Wodonga to see our new acquisition.

Thanks Rotary Club of Albury NSW. We sincerely appreciate your support and for enabling us to obtain an additional freezer.
