FoodShare's Hamper Drive is coming to Albury

The FoodShare volunteers have packed another 150 hampers to support those in our community experiencing financial hardship.

The food hampers will containing non-perishable food items such as cereal, pasta, rice, recipe bases, canned food, tinned fruit, tea, coffee, and long-life milk etc and will be available to local residents in a contactless COVIDSafe manner from the Lauren Jackson Sports Centre (229 North St, East Albury) between 11.30am and 2.30pm on Friday 10 September 2021.

The long-term impacts of restrictions imposed from the coronavirus and the current cross-border lockdowns are placing a significant strain on families in the Albury-Wodonga region and with no sector, demographic or age group immune to the immediate and flow-on effects of COVID-19, this service is accessible without any assessment, to anyone that visits the drive-thru facility seeking food relief support.
