More food for CALD communities

FoodShare gratefully acknowledges the assistance of Border Trust and the Scanlon Foundation for their valuable contribution to our ‘Feeding Our Community’ project which will source more food preferred by our CALD community members.

Border Trust is the Community Foundation for the cities of Albury and Wodonga, and the Indigo, Towong, Greater Hume and Federation Shires. As a Community Foundation, Border Trust is building a perpetual fund for the benefit of the community; now and in the future.

Sue Thonton represented FoodShare at Border Trust’s Big Give and expressed how fortunate FoodShare was to receive funding. “Border Trust enables a diverse range of projects that deliver positive benefits for our community and the Big Give celebrated the wonderful work of many local community organisations. With this funding we will be able to distribute more food preferred by our CALD community members through FoodShare’s School Breakfast and Community Pantry programs as well as shared with agencies that provide food relief for local multicultural communities”.
