FoodShare Responds to Data Security Incident

Albury Wodonga FoodShare became aware today (19 June 2026) of a data breach involving information held by our organisation.
 
We have confirmed that some information was accessible without appropriate authorisation. When we were made aware of the issue, we acted immediately to secure the affected system, prevent further unauthorised access, and commenced a detailed investigation into the nature and extent of the incident.
 
We have also engaged specialist expertise to support our response and are working with relevant regulators and agencies in accordance with our obligations.
 
The breached information includes personal contact details collected in relation to hamper requests. We are currently assessing who has been affected and whether any information was accessed by unauthorised parties.
 
We take the privacy, security and wellbeing of the people we support extremely seriously. We recognise that incidents of this nature may cause concern, particularly for those who may be vulnerable or at increased risk if their personal information is disclosed. Protecting the safety and privacy of those who access our services remains our highest priority.
 
We are contacting anyone who has been directly impacted and will continue to provide updates as further information becomes available. Anyone who has concerns about their personal safety or believe they may have been affected are encouraged to contact us directly. If you believe there is an immediate risk to your safety, please contact local police.
