Help us Feed Local Families this Christmas

Let's fill more plates this festive season

Christmas should be a time of joy — not worry. But for more than 100,000 people in our region, it’s a reminder of what’s missing: food, security, and peace of mind.

There are many ways you can get involved and support locals doing it tough this Christmas:

  • Donate food or funds to our appeal. You can find a list of our most needed items on our Christmas Appeal poster. All financial donations over $2 are tax deductible.

  • Start a Reverse Advent Box. Each day, add a non-perishable item, then drop it off to FoodShare in time for Christmas.

  • Join our Regular Giving Program. Donate $25 a month and give a gift that helps locals well into the new year and a brighter year ahead.

  • Support our Charity Gift Wrapping at MYER Centrepoint throughout December by bringing your Christmas gifts to our volunteer to be wrapped for you family and friends.

Together, we can make sure more families experience the joy of Christmas.

Join the FoodDrive

This Christmas, help local families who are struggling to put food on the table. Let’s fill more plates and share more joy. Fill a box with essential groceries and drive it over to FoodShare in time for Christmas.

Start a Reverse Advent Box: Make giving a family tradition! Add one non-perishable item each day leading up to Christmas.

Host a Neighbourhood Donation: Invite your neighbours to contribute a few grocery items and set up a collection spot on your street. A simple way to spread Christmas cheer together!

Team Up to Give Back: Encourage Bring your team together at work, in sport, or within your community group to collect donation for families in need. It’s a meaningful way to support your community and make a real different this holiday season.

Run a School Food Drive: Encourage students to collect donations as a class or year group — it’s a fun way to learn about kindness and community spirit.

Add Extras to Your Weekly Shop: Pick up a few extra non-perishables each week — rice, pasta, tinned food, or toiletries — and donate them to help local families in need.

Every Box Helps
Big or small, every donation helps fill more plates and share more joy this Christmas.

You can donate right up until Christmas, or drop off your donations on Saturday, 6 December for the FoodDrive for FoodShare!

Support our community this festive season! Together we can make sure no one in our community goes without.

Give Differently and Change a Year This Christmas

Across our region, 100,000 people will face Christmas unsure where their next meal is coming from. That’s not the spirit of the season, but it’s the reality for too many. This Christmas, let’s give differently.

Your monthly donation helps one local family access the food, stability, and dignity we all deserve, not just today, but all year round.

Because when we give differently, we create lasting change.
